Xiaomi, a Chinese smartphone company, is slowly seeping through the best smartphone ranks and making its name towards the top. The company is primarily famous for producing technologically efficient smartphones in the mid-range lineup. But, mid-range is not their final target. Xiaomi is reportedly eyeing to up their game. Following a successful meeting between Qualcomm and Xiaomi executives, Global VP of Xiaomi, Manu Kumar Jain tweets a teaser about a future Xiaomi device that will be powered by either the Snapdragon 730 or 730G.

The teaser consisted of a mention of the arrival of a new Xiaomi device in India.

Teaser has churned up speculations

Although the teaser doesn’t explicitly reveal which chipset will it use, an educated guess leads us towards Snapdragon 730. It was unveiled two weeks ago alongside the Snapdragon 730G, both built on the 8mm process for better efficiency.

The device in question is believed to be the Xiaomi MI A3, which is currently rumored to have a triple camera, the Snapdragon 730, and a 4,000 mAh battery. The triple camera will feature a 48MP main camera, an 8MP camera, and a 13MP camera, likely to be a telephoto and an ultra-wide camera.

Price and Availability

Xiaomi’s next device launch is expected shortly in China before an Indian launch event. This means it will most likely release in China before making it to the Indian market. Other rumors for the Mi A3 include an in-display fingerprint sensor and an OLED panel.
