Xiaomi Mi Band 6 Global Shipments Exceed 1 Million Units

Sales of the Xiaomi Mi Band 6 fitness tracker presented in March are breaking records. This was announced on Monday, April 26, by the founder and CEO of Xiaomi Lei Jun.

The senior official shared the news on his official Weibo account, a Chinese microblogging site. On the social media post, the man shared a poster with images in tow, stating that the smart band has surpassed 1 million units of shipments worldwide. For the uninitiated, the Mi Band 6 is the latest wearable from the Chinese technology giant that was launched in two variants: one enabled for NFC and a basic version without a module for contactless payments.

The Xiaomi Mi Band 6 began sales on April 2, 2021, and in less than a month, overall shipments exceeded one million. Speaking of the device itself, the Mi Band 6 is a 1.56-inch AMOLED display smart band. It is able to monitor the oxygen levels in the blood and is able to monitor the heart rate and even the sleep of the users. In addition, it also features other health and sports monitoring features, which include those for sports such as running, cycling, walking, and more.

The non-NFC variant of Xiaomi Mi Band 6 was launched at a price of 229 Yuan (about $35) while the NFC-enabled version is sold for 279 Yuan (about $43). The high shipping figures in such a short period of time mean that the device has been hugely successful in the markets it was launched in, so we can also expect this number to grow further in the coming weeks.
