Xiaomi is rapidly increasing its standards in terms of smartphone manufacturing. It is reported that the company has recently released three phones with an in-display fingerprint scanner for hardware testing. The devices may be the Xiaomi Mi A3, Xiaomi Mi A3 Lite and its Chinese counterpart.
Considering the smartphone upgrade leaks being a usual thing in the current times, the Chinese company has made a tactical move. The company codenamed the phones as “Pyxis”, “Bamboo_Sprout” and the “Cosmos_Sprout”. In addition, it is speculated that the devices with suffix “Sprout” might be released with Android One. The third Chinese variant may be the Xiaomi Mi 6X or Xiaomi Mi 7X.
With the growing trend of adoption of in-display fingerprint scanners, the smartphones designs have started to get better and absolutely bezel-less. More and more devices are willing to ditch the rear fingerprint scanner due to the inaccessibility of the scanner for people with relatively smaller hands.
No official announcements have been made about the device yet. So make sure to sit tight and take this information with a grain of salt.
