Xiaomi 14 rendering image exposure: Android’s narrowest border will debut in November

igeekphone September 7 news, blogger i ice universe drew a rendering of Xiaomi 14. As shown in the figure, the machine continues the Mi 13’s center hole straight screen scheme, and the border is greatly narrowed.

Compared with the 1.61mm narrow frame of the Xiaomi 13, the Xiaomi 14 has achieved within 1.5mm, and the actual frame is between 1-1.5mm, which is the narrowest mobile phone in the industry, and the frame is narrower than the upcoming iPhone 15 Pro Max, and the visual perception is better.

It is reported that the Mi 14 uses Huaxing’s latest mass-produced extremely narrow bezel screen, the resolution is 1.5K, and the refresh rate is expected to be 120Hz. In order to achieve the ultimate narrow frame design, the lower frame of this screen has been optimized and innovated with a new circuit structure, transferring the Fanout wiring to the inside of the display area, saving the fanout wiring space required for the lower frame.

The bottom border of the panel produced by the narrow border technology is at least 20% narrower than the existing products, and the screen realizes the network distribution of the power supply VSS signal in the luminous area through the new line design within the pixel, reducing the metal resistance value of the transmission power signal.

After testing, the luminous power consumption of the screen is reduced by about 8% without increasing the bezel of the panel.

In addition, the first batch of Mi 14 equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen3 mobile platform, will be unveiled in November.
