Vivo X60 Global Version Released on March 22: Support Lens Shift Super Sampling Shooting

The Vivo X60 series of mobile phones was released in China at the end of 2020. The mobile phones are equipped with Samsung Exynos 1080 processors, equipped with second-generation micro-pan stabilizers and Zeiss optical lenses. The price starts at $529.

According to foreign media GSMArena news, industry chain people have exposed that the international version of this phone X60 trio is expected to be equipped with the pixel shift super-sampling shooting technology only available on the camera, which can achieve higher picture resolution.

At present, the Vivo X60 series mobile phones have been released, but none of them provides a pixel shift function. Considering that the “micro-pan/tilt” of this mobile phone has a 5-axis anti-shake function similar to that of SLR and mirrorless cameras, it can theoretically realize the pixel shift shooting function.

Currently, Fuji, Sony, Pentax and other cameras all support the CMOS anti-shake function, which can realize the pixel shift and take four photos to synthesize one high-resolution photo. Because the Bayer array sensor widely used at present is arranged in a group of four pixels, the sensor can be shifted three times to enable each pixel to obtain RGB three-colour information and synthesize high-resolution images.

Because this technology requires very high operating accuracy, it is necessary to fix the device on a tripod for shooting. It is not clear whether Vivo can achieve handheld pixel shift shooting, but if this function only supports tripod shooting, it also means a lot. breakthrough.

Foreign media also said that the international versions of the Vivo X60, X60 Pro, and X60 Pro+ phones will support the pixel shift function and take 8 photos for synthesis. In addition, the international version of Vivo X60 is expected to be equipped with a different processor, replacing Samsung Exynos 1080 with Qualcomm Snapdragon 870.
