Razer, the leading global lifestyle brand for gamers, has developed quite a reputation in this era of smartphone advancements. On March 21, the gaming hardware manufacturer joined hands with Tencent Holdings Limited. Tencent, a tech giant in China and global publisher of PUBG Mobile and Arena of Valor, is a well-reputed game development enterprise. Both the companies have a unified motive of enhancing the user experience of mobile gaming. They plan on expanding the abilities of portable gaming hardware, software, and services across the globe.
The collaboration between Tencent and Razer will focus on the following areas:
Razer is one of the world’s most significant gaming hardware manufacturers. Tencent will collaborate with Razer to optimize its games for Razer’s hardware. Razer is willing to maximize a variety of its products in this collaboration including the Razer Phone and mobile accessories such as portable game controllers.
Tencent has attracted a large number of customers with its phenomenal success by the introduction of PUBG mobile. With this collaboration, Tencent plans on optimizing its games for Razer’s mobile game platforms and the powerful Razer Cortex mobile game launcher. Razer Cortex is a powerful Android mobile game launcher that has the enhanced ability to maximize the user game experience. It optimizes mobile game performance, provides excellent gaming deals and launches games – all from one single location.
Furthermore, Tencent plans on inducing Razer technologies such as THX Spatial Audio from Razer’s audio technology subsidiary THX Ltd. in its future game production.
As part of the collaboration, Tencent and Razer will also explore additional monetization opportunities for mobile gaming including integrating Razer services and more.
“Mobile gaming keeps growing at an incredible pace and at Razer, we are poised to be a leader in the segment. We have been working with Tencent since 2008 and are excited to now enter into a collaboration with them to spearhead future innovation in the space,” said Min-Liang Tan, Co-Founder, and CEO of Razer. “With the strengths of Tencent and Razer combined, we are going to supercharge the mobile gaming industry.”
