Samsung S22 Ultra Smartphone Rendering is Coming

Partnering with well-known camera brands is becoming a mainstream trend in the mobile space. It used to be Huawei Leica, Vivo Zeiss, OnePlus Hasselu, and now multiple sources are saying Samsung and Olympus will join forces as well. LetsGoDigital asked designers to create a set of illustrations for Samsung’s next flagship Galaxy S22 Ultra, pointing out that it is expected to be equipped with a 200 megapixel camera, Olympus camera technology, and the S Pen.

From the rendering, the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra rear rectangular camera module continues the design of the S21 series, and the camera module seamlessly fits into the edge of the body, making it very recognizable. In terms of specs, Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra is equipped with three or four cameras, including a large eye for the main camera, a large area of 200 million pixels, more than a phone camera record. The phone also appears to have a diving telephoto lens. Of course, this is just a set of unofficial renderings, not necessarily a real phone. But more likely, Samsung’s Galaxy S22 series is expected to use 200 megapixel sensors and Olympus technology.

LetsGoDigital points out that Samsung Exynos has previously posted a trailer online suggesting that the company is working on a 200-megapixel image sensor, a successor to the 108-megapixel image sensor in the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra. Presumably, Samsung is likely to use the 200-megapixel sensor in the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra.

In addition, multiple sources confirm that Samsung is talking about cooperation with Olympus, and the two sides are still in a state of negotiation. In the future, Olympus may offer camera systems for Samsung smartphones. The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 foldable smartphone, which is expected to launch around July/August, will be the first Samsung smartphone to feature an Olympus camera. It has also emerged that Samsung is working on a chip code-named Olympus. However, neither company has confirmed the news.
