Samsung Has Started Work On Android 12 For Galaxy S21 Series

It is known that Google announced the first beta of Android 12 in May during the I/O conference and started rolling out the beta 2 update recently. These new betas are now available for download on the company’s Pixel phones and select devices from ASUS, OnePlus, OPPO, Xiaomi, Realme, Sharp, TECNO, TCL, Vivo, and ZTE. Notably, Samsung devices are not on the list above.

According to a reliable source from leaker Max Weinbach, the Korean company has started developing Android 12 for the Galaxy S21 series. Samsung is said to start releasing Android 12 alongside the new One UI interface later this year.

The company is likely to hold a dedicated developer conference (SDC) in October or November, and the One UI 4.0 beta is likely to be revealed at that time. However, if Samsung keeps the same schedule as last year, the first beta for developers will be released in August.

The Galaxy S21 series and the latest Samsung phones will receive software updates for three years. If you own an older Galaxy device, please refer to the list of eligible devices to see if you can update to Android 12.

Samsung has already started rolling out Android 11 with the Galaxy S20 series, so it’s no surprise that the Galaxy S21 series will be the first to get the Android 12 update. Its other flagship models will likely receive the version. Latest Android January 2022. Android 12 is one of the biggest design updates in years. It uses a design language that Google calls “Material You,” with redesigned widgets, new gesture and privacy-focused tools, and more.
