One of China’s leading smartphone OEMs, OPPO had announced the release of OPPO Reno last month in Zurich, Switzerland. The device comes with a powerful camera, Snapdragon 710 chipset coupled with 6/8GB RAM and 128 GB internal storage. Recent updates reveal that the company is set to roll out another variant of the same device. The variant will be highlighted under the name – OPPO Reno 10X. OPPO is set to launch its newest smartphone on May 10 in China. According to a recent Weibo post by Brian Shen – the VP for the Chinese domestic market, the OPPO Reno 10x will support 60x Digital Zoom.
How is OPPO Reno 10X better than its parent version?
OPPO Reno 10X is a significant advancement over the OPPO Reno standard version. The zoom edition has even overcome Huawei’s P30 Pro in camera capability. OPPO’s Reno 10X zoom edition offers 60X zoom capability which is better than that offered by Huawei P30 Pro.
The phone will come with a triple camera module consisting of a 48-megapixel primary sensor + 12-megapixel telephoto lens and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide angle lens. The exceptional zooming capabilities are facilitated by the periscope lens module. The lens has a variable focal length of 16-160 mm. In addition, OIS (Optical Image Stabilization) reduces shake for better camera quality while zooming. Whereas, a 16-megapixel pop-up front camera is present for beautiful selfies. It is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 chipset and a 6.65-inch AMOLED display.
Another variant of the OPPO Reno was recently spotted on the Chinese regulatory TENAA featuring an improved front camera and few other changes. The devices with codenames PCDM10 and PCDT10 is powered with Snapdragon 710, 6GB RAM and 128 GB internal storage. It also embeds a dual camera module as like of the standard version. Slightly thicker bezels and bigger battery size are also expected on the new edition.
