Redmi K40 is First Phone to Use E4 OLED Screen Confirmed by Lu WeiBing

Earlier this month, a digital blogger revealed that the Redmi K40 series will be standard with the Samsung E4 OLED screen.

Just now, Lu Weibing, Vice President of Xiaomi Group, President of China Region and General Manager of Redmi Redmi brand, preheated Redmi K40 series on Weibo, confirming that Redmi K40 will be the first straight-screen flagship equipped with E4 material OLED screen.

E4 is the latest generation of Samsung’s screen technology, which delivers higher brightness and ultra-low power consumption, as well as high contrast, high color accuracy and other benefits. It is a comprehensive upgrade from the previous generation of technology. The technology has been used on the Mi 11, which has set 13 new records with a DisplayMate A + rating on its screen.

The Redmi K40 series is powered by Snapdragon 870 / Snapdragon 888 processor, LPDDR5 memory, UFS 3.1 memory chip, WiFi 6 enhanced version, E4 OLED display, 4500mAh battery capacity, 33W charger, and will be released on February 25.

Lu previously said the Redmi K40 series will start at 2,999 yuan, which is expected to be the Snapdragon 888 version, which may start at a lower price.
