Realme officially announced that it would be one of the first to ship the Snapdragon 888 chip when it was released last year, but as it moves into February 2021, Realme has yet to make a move on its new flagship.
Xu Qi, Realme’s vice president and president of China, revealed some key information in a recent comment on his microblog.
A netizen commented that he wanted to use the new RealMe before the school year starts in March, and Xu replied personally: “I’ll figure out when the school year starts.”
While Xu didn’t say when the new Realme will be released, it’s almost certain that it will be unveiled in March.
Realme’s upcoming flagship model, code-named Race, is rumored to be based on the Oppo Ace series, featuring top-of-the-line performance.
According to the latest news from digital blogger @Ice Universe, Race Series has a top-rated RealMe Race Pro, which not only has the Snapdragon 888 flagship processor, but also has up to 12GB of LPDDR5 memory specs. It has a 5000mAh battery in the body and supports 120W fast charging, which is the world’s most powerful fast charging technology.
Realme Race Pro’s 120W quick-charge technology uses a parallel three-charge pump with a 98% conversion rate to charge a 4000mAh battery to 41% in just five minutes and fully charge it in 20 minutes.
Notably, RealMe Race Pro will feature a top-of-the-line OLED display on the front, with a 6.8-inch perforated design with a resolution of 3200 by 1400 and an ultra-high refresh rate of 160Hz, making it the highest refresh rate in the industry.
