Realme is ready to roll out the newest introduction to their smartphone series. The Realme 3 is all set to launch on March 4. Prior to the official launch, we got a live image of the front of the phone, courtesy of the popular tipster, Ishan Agarwal. The new image confirms that the phone will feature a dewdrop display, similar to the one seen on its sibling, the Realme U1.
The received photo further shows us the AnTuTu benchmark of the device. The newly arriving handset managed to score an impressive 137,976. In further news about the new smartphone, it is powered by MediaTek’s Helio P70 and is running Android Pie OS as its base firmware.
GSM-Arena revelead a few camera samples from the smartphone itself, giving the customers a heads up to their expectations from the device. These samples were compared directly with competitors like the Redmi Note 7 and Samsung’s Galaxy M20. The Realme 3 comes with two new features— Chroma Boost and Nightscape — which seem to give it an edge over its rivals, especially when it comes to dynamic range and night photography.
Upon side-by-side comparison of the sample pictures by GSM-Arena, Realme’s Chroma boost feature stands out in boosting the dynamic range of the pictures. The other three smartphone samples have significant differences in the dynamic range among them, but Realme is surely better than its comparison. Even in the Nightscape mode, which is the company’s handheld night mode, the phone managed to do a fantastic job of managing the exposure and highlights with minimum noise. Once again, we could see that Realme 3 had a definite advantage.
More rumours to follow
While official specs are not yet available, GSM-Arena reported rumours that the phone will have a 6.3-inch display with FHD+ resolution, 4GB RAM, dual 16+5MP cameras at the back, and a large 4000mAh battery. The phone is also said to come in a starry gradient finish.
Overall, the phone can be expected to be an impressive middle ranged smartphone amongst its competitors. For that, we will have to wait till March 4.
