OPPO A18, an entry-level 4G smartphone that was launched in the UAE last month, has now landed in the Indian market. This phone can be seen as a downsized version of the OPPO A58, as both have the same appearance and chip, but the A18 has a reduced screen, camera and charging speed.
The OPPO A18 features a plastic body with a 6.56-inch LCD screen on the front with a resolution of 1612 x 720 pixels (HD+), a 90Hz refresh rate, 720 nits peak brightness, wide bezels, and a teardrop-shaped fringe.
The phone is powered by a Mediatek Helio G85 processor, equipped with LPDDR4x memory and eMMC 5.1 storage, and runs ColorOS 13.1 based on Android 13.
In terms of cameras, the new machine has an 8-megapixel main camera and a 2-megapixel depth of field camera on the back, and a 5-megapixel selfie camera in the front droplet.
The new machine also has a MicroSD card slot, a 3.5mm headphone jack, a side fingerprint sensor and a USB Type-C port that supports dual-sim dual-standby, 5G, dual-band WiFi, Bluetooth 5.3 and GNSS, among others.
In addition, the new machine also has IP54 level splash protection and comes with a 5000mAh battery.
The OPPO A18 is available in India in a single configuration of 4GB + 64GB for Rs 9,999 (Note: Currently around RMB 878), which is available in two colors, Glowing Black and Glowing Blue, is available online and offline in India.
