Meizu 18 officially Announced For New Generation of In-Display Fingerprint

Recently, Meizu announced that it will hold a Flyme 9 conference on March 2, and a Meizu 18 series 5G dual flagship conference on March 3. And to warm up the publicity, Meizu 18 is equipped with OneMind 8XX, a new generation of Dragon Trainer debut; Meizu 18 Pro will be equipped with Snapdragon 888 + UFS3.1 flash memory + LPDDR5 full-blood memory, and the overall performance reaches the first echelon of this year’s flagship model.

Today, Meizu Technology officially announced that the industry-leading mTouch has once again led the way at supersonic speed. Meizu 18 debuted Qualcomm’s latest generation of ultrasonic under-screen fingerprint technology, Qualcomm 3D Sonic Sensor, which is speeding up again. The new mTouch is here, and Meizu18 officially announced the use of Qualcomm’s new generation of 3D Sonic fingerprints under the ultrasonic screen

This year, Qualcomm released the second generation of 3D acoustic wave sensor. The new ultrasonic sensor has a fingerprint recognition area 77% larger than that of the first generation, and the captured data is 1.7 times that of the first generation. More importantly, its speed is about 50% faster than the previous generation. This means that users can spend less time worrying about where to put their fingers and unlock the phone faster.

The thickness of the new sensor is only 0.2 mm, making it actually used in flexible OLED displays in foldable mobile phones. Compared with capacitive sensors, it still has the advantage that it can recognize your finger even when it is wet.

Previously, the official said that the Meizu18 series of curved screens all adopt a centre-cut hole design. Among them, the Meizu 18 Pro uses a 2K screen, and the Meizu 18 uses a 6.2-inch screen, claiming “lightweight size, control the audience.”
