Liu zuohu Confirmed First Oneplus Smartwatch will be Officially Unveiled Early Next Year

Some time ago, OnePlus founder and CEO Liu Zuohu said they are working on a smartwatch that will run on the Wear OS operating system. Liu recently replied on Twitter that the OnePlus watch is already in production and is scheduled to be officially launched early next year.

“There’s definitely room for improvement in Wear OS, and we’re trying to work with Google to improve connectivity between the Wear OS ecosystem, Android TV, and Android smartphones to create this feature for better device operability across the entire ecosystem,” Liu previously said publicly. It’s also a very positive thing from a Google point of view, so that’s what we’re working on.”

The Wear OS on the OnePlus smartwatch is the predecessor of Android Wear, which was designed specifically for smartwatches and other wearable smart devices. Its first preview version released in March 2014, and it supports digital assistant, sensor and other functions.

According to the exposed design, OnePlus smartwatch will have a more traditional prototype dial design, a fabric loop strap similar to the Apple Watch 3, a new snap-like connection between the straps and the Watch, and quick disassembly.
