Lenovo seems to be preparing a pretty strong Android tablet for the next few weeks, as it has just started teasing a device with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 processor inside. It runs on Android and it was recently detailed recently. It would high time to see a new flagship tablet from Lenovo after the Lenovo Tab P11 Pro from last year.
The product is also sold as the Lenovo Xiaoxin Pad Pro in China and you can check it out above. Earlier this week, Lenovo Notebook Product Manager Lin Lin posted what appears to be a Settings page screenshot of an upcoming Lenovo tablet. The image revealed some of the key specs of the product. The Snapdragon 870 CPU shown here was actually revealed recently and it’s a sort of Snapdragon 865++, a Snapdragon 865+ clocked even higher than before. It also has 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage, plus a microSD card slot probably.
As far as the software is concerned, the slate runs on ZUI 12.5 based on Android 11. It will come with support for Lenovo One, which is a feature similar to the Huawei Multi-Screen Collaboration and Xiaomi Device Control. Sadly we don’t know much else about the device, but knowing Lenovo as we do, it should have a set of strong quad speakers, with quite a bit of bass in the mix. The screenshot shows a security patch dated January 2021, so the device has been in testing phase for a while now.
We’re expecting a slim metal body here, JBL and Dolby Vision tech, maybe also a 2K OLED HDR screen like the last year model.
