Kirin 9000 Surfaces On AnTuTu With Scores 693605 Points

A few days ago, the Mate 40 Series release date has been confirmed by Huawei. According to the poster, October 22, 2020, will be the launch event for the series. Until now, predictions are circulating that the Mate 40 Series comes with three versions and will come with the new Kirin 9000 chipset.

Whether true or not, but recently the specifications of the Huawei Mate 40 Pro have just been revealed through Geekbench certification and now, the smartphone has appeared on the AnTuTu Benchmark that gives some hints about the performance and specifications. So, let’s take a closer look.

The AnTuTu listing reveals a new Huawei smartphone with model number NOH-NX9, which is the same model number that appeared in the Geekbench listing of the Mate 40 Pro. The listing further reveals that the smartphone will come with the new Kirin 9000 chipset, which uses a quad-core Cortex-A77 with a quad-core Cortex-A55 design, and the highest frequency reaches 3.13GHz. The upcoming processor will sport Mali-G78 GPU.

As we can see, the Huawei Mate 40 Pro manages to score a total of 693605, of which the CPU score is 189670, GPU score is 287962, MEM score is 126589, and UX score is 89384. In terms of performance, Kirin 9000 is 39% higher than Kirin 990 5G and 13.7% higher than Snapdragon 865.

Interestingly, the Kirin 9000 comes real close to the upcoming Samsung Exynos 1080 processor. We recently spotted the chipset on AnTuTu as well, which revealed a total score of 693600 points.

Moving on, the listing also sheds some light on the features and specifications. According to the results, the Mate 40 series should be equipped with LPDDR5 memory and UFS 3.1 flash memory. It performs very well in storage, and the screen refresh rate may be 90Hz, but it does not rule out the possibility of higher.
