Honor Tablet 9/ Pad 9 Launched, With Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 Processor, Pen Support

Honor held a pretty big event yesterday, during which it announced the Honor 90 GT smartphone. It wasn’t alone, as along came a tablet, the Honor Tablet 9/ Pad 9. It’s a midrange slate, with pen support.

It uses a slim and light all metal body, that measures 6.96 mm in thickness and weighs 555 grams. Honor Tablet 9 comes in white, blue and gray and will be available with 8 GB of RAM, 128 or 256 GB of storage, or 12 GB of RAM and 256 or 512 GB of storage. The CPU in the mix here is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 1, a 4 nanometer SoC with 8 cores.

Honor Pad 9 also uses a 12.1 inch IPS LCD display with a 2560 x 1600 pixel resolution and 500 nits of brightness. It also has anti glare, which should eliminate up to 98% of reflections. It’s got TUV Rheinland certifications for non reflection, low blue light and flicker free. The device is available with a special paper-like screen protector, which Honor calls Soft Light.

It makes the writing and drawing on the display more enjoyable with a stylus. By the way, there’s also templates for drawing in the Honor Notes app, as well as voice to text support. On the acoustics side, there are 2 microphones and 8 speakers on board. The product has an 8300 mAh battery with 35W charging and runs on Android 13 with Honor MagicOS 7.2 on top.

The price starts at $225.
