Hi,

Can you please assist me with my brick phone, ive tried every rom i could find on needrom.com and nothing seems to be working on my phone, when i got it, it was stuck on the samsung boot logo, i read a little on flashing the phone and when i flashed it, I never wrote down the important details i needed from my phone and now all the information i have is that its a Samsung Galaxy Note 3
Model SM-N9006
FCC ID:A3LSMN9006
SSN:-N9006GSMH
RATED: 3.8 V===;1300mA
MADE IN KOREA BY SAMSUNG
IMEI NUMBER IS FAKE I CHECKED

I downloaded a SM-N900 rom and flashed the phone with that rom and when it picked up on Mtk Droid Tools, the following information came up:

Hardware : MT6572
Model : SM-N900
Build number : JSS15J.N900ZCUBMI5
Build date UTC : 20140523-093713
Android v : 4.2.2
Baseband v: -----
Kernel v : 3.4.5 (liuxiuyun@mht-05) (gcc version 4.6.x-google 20120106 (prerelease) (GCC) ) #1 SMP Fri Sep 5 09:01:25 CST 2014
LCD Driver ic 1-nt35517_dsi_vdo_qhd

but the rom never worked as well.....i think the main problem is the lcd driver or something in those lines because the screen never worked with any of the roms.

PLEASE, IF YOU CAN ASSIST ME, I'LL BE FOREVER IN YOUR DEBT.

Kind Regards
Kappie

ok if your device is definately mtk6572 then ONLY USE mtk6572 note 3 clone roms nothing else will work...also if you have been flashing the preloader then this can cause serious problems as a wrong preloader will brick your device for good
firstly make sure that the battery will still charge...flashing seriously depletes the battery and when you think that the rom didn't work sometimes it's because the battery is not charged
next if you think you have flashed the correct rom and it does not boot up straight away give it time sometimes the first boot can take 5-10mins,also try booting into recovery and wipe data factory reset this can also solve non booting problems
lastly the files needed for the screen are 'UBOOT' or 'LK.BIN' these contain the display drivers so if you hear the device boot ok or you get lines across the screen try flashing different uboot or lk.bin files from other roms with the same screen res as your device which i do not know so you will have to go back to the sellers page and maybe they didnt post the wrong specs thats all you can do

Mrsim, i am deeply indebted to you, i eventually found a rom and everything seems to be working fine now :D:D:D:grin::grin::grin: finally, the funny thing is, ive downloaded about 20 gigs of different roms on needrom.com and none of them worked and last night i googled "mtk6572 note 3 clone roms" which was taken from the 1st line of your response to my query and the 2nd rom i downloaded worked:tired::tired::tired::tired: anyway thank you very much and also the correct info i got from MTK Droid tools is :

Hardware : MT6572
Model : Samsung GALAXY Note 3
Build number : ALPS.JB3.MP.V1
Build date UTC : 20140512-115032
Android v : 4.4.2
Baseband v: MOLY.WR8.W1315.MD.WG.MP.V1.P2, 2013/10/24 16:17
Kernel v : 3.4.5 (rs@rs-ThinkStation-D30) (gcc version 4.6.x-google 20120106 (prerelease) (GCC) ) #1 SMP Mon May 12 19:49:12 CST 2014
Uboot build v : ----- should be root shell
LCD Driver IC : 1-nt35517_qhd_dsi_xt

Now that i have all this info, how do i update firmware or better yet, just improve the overall performance of the phone? what exactly do i look for when searching for a better rom than the one that is currently loaded on my phone

@Kappie
glad you found the correct rom for your device excellent work...as for clones unfortunately there are never updates or roms available except stock roms i could spend all day explaining why but just take it from me developers do not make roms for clones and the clone manufacturers never update them because they are so cheap they expect people to just buy the next released clone...now most if not all clones are so badly made that i would avoid them at all cost,the specs are nearnly always spoofed the internal hardware is cheap and crappy and the firmware is also terrible and not designed to last lost..in fact clones are not designed to last long most last as long as it takes to do the first factory reset then they brick,they also almost always have malicious software installed which could in some cases steal your credit details or identity,lots have malware with links to porn sites...etc etc...do yourself a favor and sell the thing and use the money to get a decent chinese device from a manufacturer like xaiomi who make excellent devices at really cheap prices there is also lots of developement for their devices with snapdragon chips,the mediatek ones do get developement but those are ported roms not roms built from scratch
