Hey guys, i just wanted to write a short guide on how to safely test new roms on your smartphone.

1. First of all you should determine which phone you have:

Therefore you need the name of your phone and the SoC.

You can easily find your true hardware specs with this tutorial :

2ibY65Nxu10

Write down this information !!!

2 . Now after this, you should backup your rom. Therefore you need to be rooted or readback your rom if you can not root your phone.

You can root it with :

Shuame

Kingoapp

Framaroot

Autoroot

or Superoneclicl

If none of these is working , use SP-FLASHTOOL to readback your rom and root it with that.

you can find different rooting tutorials in the phone tutorial section.

So now backup your phone with mtk droid tools like shown here :

3nvbU6Km8-M

After you have done that, you can try roms and if your phone bricks , you can easily restore it with your backup

3. Now find a suitable rom on needrom.com , multicore china , google or XDA.

It should suit your PHONE MODEL and SoC.

Download it and make sure its a rom you can flash with spflash tools.

4. Flashing a part of the ROM

now follow my sp-flash tutorial to flash the android (system.img) ONLY !

ztI8sc8MUNo

you will just need the SYSTEM.IMG !!! because that is "android" which runs on your phone.

Now load your scatter.

Untick everything EXCEPT android.

If scatter is not in the folder. Point android to SYSTEM.IMG (correct path)

Now hit download mode and connect phone without battery and reconnect battery.

Wait until you can see a green circle.

5.) you are done !! Enjoy testing your new system rom

you will need to check the real specs of that device with MTK DROID TOOLS v2.5.3
