Dont give up just yet, the best thing you can do for now is to start a new thread in the link below, other moderators will be online later, maybe they can think of something

make sure you subscribe to your own thread too, that way you will see any answers there may be?

Hi

It looks like you are trying to flash a non compatible chip Rom,

In other words if you have an MTK6582 chip, and you try to flash a Rom for a MTK6592 chip, you would get this kind of message, double check everything and report back :emoticon-0100-smile:

Hmmmmm... But it doesn't seem to make a difference? Or at least, it seems on and off... I dunno, sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't... But anyway, I've got it to work before, so I'll manage again I'm sure...
if you do decide to format then make sure you only 'AUTO' format...as this will keep your preloader intact...if you full format then your fucked

sometimes auto formatting is needed in order to flash a new rom or an old backup

Well I have full formatted a few times and the phone still gets seen by the pc and i can reflash the preloader, though the first time I did that I needed to find a way into meta mode, which I did by connecting pin 4 of a usb cable to ground and plugging that in... Now it seems to work anyway.. Also, I heard you can use the earlier version of flash tool, but for me, the old versions just gives me an error trying to load the scatter file... EDIT: Though I always keep the first option as Auto Format, I just sometimes selected Format Whole flash + bootloader
