ASUS ROG Announces the first HDMI 2.1 Display to be Available in May

Asustek has announced that it plans to ship the ROG Strix XG43UQ in May, making it the first HDMI 2.1-port display to hit the market.

At present, 4K 144HZ high-end displays on the market mostly rely on DP1.4 interface to achieve output. However, due to the bandwidth problem, a single wire often needs to cooperate with DSC and other compression technologies. If two wires have enough bandwidth, the screen can not be turned on to prevent tearing.

It is reported that the XG43UQ panel is certified by DisplayHDR 1000, covering 90% of the DCI-p3 color gamut, supporting AMD Freesync Premium Pro and so on.
