Igeekphone news on November 2, Apple Inc. officially released the M3, M3 Pro and M3 Max chips in the “Coming fast and furious” theme event held recently. After the M3 chip appeared in the GeekBench running library, the M3 Max chip also appeared on the running platform.
On GeekBench run database, the device identifier equipped with M3 Max chip is Mac15,9, and there are currently four pieces of information, one of which has a single-core score of 2943 points and a multi-core score of 21084 points.
In comparison, the Mac Studio with M2 Ultra scored 2,692 for single core and 21,231 for multi-core. In comparison with the highest multi-core performance above, the M3 Max is 9% higher than the M2 Ultra single-core and only 0.6% lower than the multi-core.
In addition, the exposed OpenCL running score shows that the 16-core M3 Max chip with a clock frequency of 4048 MHz scored 93,579 points.
The Igeekphone has attached Apple’s official introduction to the M3 Max chip as follows:
The number of transistors in the M3 Max chip has increased to 92 billion, and professional performance has reached a new high. The 40-core graphics processor is up to 50% faster than the M1 Max and also supports up to 128GB of unified memory, making it easy for AI developers to handle large-scale Transformer models with billions of parameters. The 16-core CPU with 12 performance cores and 4 energy efficiency cores delivers incredible performance, up to 80% faster than the M1 Max.
